Should you cut the grass before applying or apply then cut about 3 days later?

Don't cut before. Then wait the 3 days before you cut.

Best to wait 2 or 3 days after application before you cut. Often it will tell you on the herbicide label but I read the label for Weed B Gon and it doesn’t say. Many herbicide labels will recommend not to cut grass for 2 days following herbicide application or to delay spraying the herbicide for at least 2 days after cutting grass. Depends on how the herbicide is absorbed by the weed.

Weed-B-Gon is a mixture of 3 herbicides. The 2,4-D and Mecoprop are largely absorbed through the foliage (hence waiting to cut for max absorption) and the Dicamba absorbed through both the foliage and roots.

What about rain? I wanted to apply after work today, but rain is in the forecast. Is there a minimum about of time it has to be absorbed before rain hits it?

The label on Weed B Gon says that is is rainproof in 1 hour. So no rain within an hour of spraying you should be good.
