Anyone else notice a ton of wasps this year? They set up shop in my palm tree at some point and I’ve been trying to get rid of them with wasp spray.

I’ve killed 7 nests but new ones keep popping up. I’ve been stung 4 times. Any tips on getting rid of the little bastards

I mix blue dawn & water in a sprayer & walk around getting the ones in the yard
I haven’t found any nests this summer but I know they have one in my gutters

If you run across a Power Line Crew, or know where a Maintenance Shop is located. Go in and ask what they use to kill wasps that nest in control and transformer cabinets.

We had paint issues with our transformers and were investigating every transformer sitting in yards across Missouri. The first stop, the lady behind the desk says "Hold on guys" and places two cases of wasp spray on the counter "Kill as many of them as you can." I don't remember the name or manufacturer, but the stuff killed immediately. We never got stung once.

Hurricane removed this after I killed the wasps that made it and were active last month. Just used the cheap spray from local Dollar General in a black can.

Killed them so fast I had to get closer to see the "waterfall" I thought was me over spraying and running off was really the wasps falling off so fast and piling up on the porch concrete below. The wasps seen on the nest? They're dead and stuck to the nest.

ETA: corner of the house has a recurring nest that the spray over the years has started killed the azaleas under the eaves so do watch for that.

I was stung three times by yellow jackets trying to cut the grass the other day. Those bastards are all over my yard and building nest in the shrubs daily.

my neighbor was weedeating last week and disturbed an in-ground yellow-jacket colony. He got stung over 50 times and spent 9 hours in the hospital. Doctor said the dozens of stings caused anaphylaxis which can be fatal.

This is a significant fear of mine. I'm pretty allergic and the neighbors get a show every time a single wasp flies at me. 35 year old TDsngumbo turns into 12 year old valley girl.
