Is there a cleaner for it?
Is there a stain preventer after I clean it?
Razors worked only after you wet it with ash or ceramabryte

We have a wood burning stove at the camp with glass in the door. We take a damp paper towel and dip it in some ash from the stove. Then we rub the glass with it creating like a paste on the glass. We come back with a clean, wet paper towel and wipe off the paste and the glass is perfectly clear again. Guessing the ash acts an abrasive to remove the soot.

I use rutland creosote remover on a double sided fire place. They make a liquid and a granular, but I’d get the granular. Just sprinkle it on hot coals. After a couple days the black bubbles up and flakes off.

Yes wet paper towel and dip on ash and wipe glass clean. I used to do this when I started a fire.
