Back in September we took a trip to Gatlinburg and I made two mistakes:

1.) Driving up the first time (never been to the mountains) and didn't use low gear, kept it in "D" the whole time.

2.) Had the parking brake on and didn't realize it and put it in reverse and pressed on the gas pretty hard.

First - I know I'm a dumbass. But on the way home I noticed that it would vibrate every few seconds while slowly accelerating at mid-to-low speeds (40-60 mph). Also, anything above 70 mph will vibrate every few seconds if I'm staying at the same speed (especially when using cruise control).

Some quick google searches have been showing that it possibly has something to do with a brake issue - which would make sense because of me trying to punch it in reverse while the parking break is on.

Any ideas on what the cause could be and how expensive it is to get fixed? I don't have a clue about anything to do with mechanics. Thank you in advance!

My truck had similar symptoms a few years ago and it was a bad ignition coil

Eta: I think I paid 200-300 to have it replaced

as mentioned it could be an electrical short in the coil but first check the obvious and see if you have a bad u-joint or hanger bearing on the drive shaft, those are the things that vibrate mainly only under load

If you don't use the parking brake very often. It may not have fully released. The parking brake system tends to get crusty when not used.

vibration you feel in your seat is usually drive train. all of the comments have good suggestions. i'd also consider a faulty torque converter. they allow slippage at slow speeds and on acceleration, but lock up at some point. if the locking device is faulty, you'll feel a shudder.
