I want about 12” wide x 18” deep x 500 ft long trench dug. I’m going to put in a French drain, I just don’t want to deal with digging the trench. Anyone here do this kind of work. I’m in Slidell. Email me racjacree@gmail.com

500 feet seems very long for a french drain. Is that entire length a problem or are you trying to get water from one end to the other?
If the whole length is an issue, then I agree you'll need a mini excavator. Even larger, tracked trenchers aren't going to dig 12" wide. I haven't seen one that can anyway. Typically they're less than 6" wide and 18" or 24" deep.
Anyway, if you're trying to move water from one end to the other then I'd get a trencher and drop a drainage pipe rather than a french drain. Although at 500 feet you're looking at needing probably at minimum a 2 or 3 foot difference in elevation from beginning to end.

Gate City Foundation Drainage has some great french drain videos on YouTube where he shows them building the system then often goes back when it rains to video how well the system is performing.

Is the entire 500 ft going to be a french drain? That’s a hell of a French drain if so! Or is it just a short section of French drain then pipe for the water to run?
Why 12” wide? That’s a hell of a hole also?
Fwiw, depending on what’s in the area as far as vegetation and utility lines you should be able to get that done in about a day by finding a guy that owns a mini excavator to do it. Most are about $100/ hour with 4-5 hour minimums. I
