I think my BIL got something like $30,000 - $40,000 in turf but he has zero money worries and a big arse backyard.

House in UClub on 15th hole has entire backyard turfed out. It is impressive... measured the area via Google Maps and it's like 12000 sq ft!

I was quoted $10000 for ~1000sf in Nola—seemed really steep. I’m going to get a few more quotes in the winter to see if I can get a better deal.

I have a friend that installed 500sf artificial himself for under $1000. He said it was a pain in the arse but came out great.
