Purchased a house in south BR about 2.5 years ago, clear WDIR, no issues with termites as far as I am aware. During the May termite swarms that we have seen the past couple years, I've been getting some pressure at home to look into getting a termite contract, which after treatment will warrant against damage from termite infestations should that occur.

My main hang up with getting this done is that on the back side of my house I have an "L" shaped patio that is tiled, and the treatment would require drilling thru these tiles / patio every 12" to inject near the perimeter of the house slab. I'm concerned that 1.) the tiles may crack and 2.) if they dont crack, it will still look bad to have 40 holes drilled along the perimeter of the house.

The application could be done with the exception of this back wall, and the warranty would just void any termite infestation should it occur through the untreated side of the house. Does anyone have some experience with this that could help me make a decision?

paid $700 for first treatment and something like 180 a year, for 10 years. Then contract starts over and you have to treat again. If you get termites during that time, they pay for all damages. It like getting termite insurance basically.

Could you drill through the grout?

That is similar to the numbers that I got. Its certainly possible to drill through it, but definitely not ideal.

I recently got Arrow, Orkin, and Terminix to quote me on bait stations only. Arrow was by far the cheapest. $600 for first year and then $300 a year after that. I dont have a patio like yours, but I also had no prior termite problems.
