Not sure if it's a regular promo or not, but thought I'd share in case anyone else was thinking about getting one of these systems

If you're looking for the best deal, Ring will likely be your pick. If you're concerned about privacy or if you're looking purely for the best DIY security system, SimpliSafe will be the safer bet.

this current promo moved SimpliSafe to the top for us

Do you put sensors on your windows and doors, or just doors.

we're going with sensors on the doors only and a couple of glass break sensors (as well as motion sensors and cameras)

the window sensors always seemed a bit pointless to me, but you can put them in as many places as you want

I got SimpliSafe around 6 months ago and I’m not loving it. Too many instances where the system thinks a window is open when it isn’t and entry sensors not responding. I’m leaning towards replacing mine soon.

I have had them about two years. Their customer service is one of the best customer services I have ever dealt with regardless of the product. I have trouble everynow and then with "entry sensor" not responding which typically sorts itself out within a day but they have helped in times where it was longer.

I haven’t reached out. I’ll give it a shot based on some comments here.

Had SimpliSafe in my Daughter's Apartment when she was at college. I ended up moving the system 3 times every time she moved! Not a problem, it worked great everywhere she lived. Had to change the cellular module in the base when she moved to Baton Rouge. Easy to install, good customer support, and pricing is good

My ring doorbell got hacked and the swat team busted down my door at 3am.

I don’t have ring anymore
