Roof Leak on shed
Posted by modes on 4/11/19 at 12:48 pm00
I noticed a roof leak in my shed. The roof is the galvanized corrugated metal panels from HDepot. I'm guessing its at a joint between two panels.
Any suggestions on how to seal it? The shed is not a conditioned space. Just storage shed with a small shop set up in one corner.

Is it nailed down or screwed down? There is a special silicone you can buy made just for that. You get up on the roof and apply a little over each head to cover it. Tough stuff, bout $10 a tube.
Or just rubber coat the complete roof.

I used Flexseal on my old one. Had to use a bunch, but it worked

Most likely its leaking at a nail or screw. You can buy oversized screws with the washers and it will seal it for another however many years if you can figure out where the leak is. Or you can caulk / flex seal over the heads and do all or everything in the area.
