Nothing too fancy, I only have about a half acre yard.
I've been using my dad's zero turn which is about 20 minutes away and just tired of driving back and forth to get it. Takes me longer to drive than to actually cut grass.
Doesn't matter if it's self propelled or not, my yard is super flat.

You'll want the self propelled anyway.

We had the fancy Honda for years until someone stole it from our front yard... my wife was bold enough to leave it in the yard for a "break". Now we have an Ego Select cut and it is phenomenal. The Honda cuts better, I think it is a combination of being heavier and provides more suction to cut the grass in a more upright position but that doesn't really make a difference if you cut regularly. By far it is easier to use and maintain. You plop the battery in, you take the battery out and charge it. No gas, no oil, no plugs. You change and sharpen the blades, that is IT. I bought mine from a local mom and pop and when we had an issue they just swapped it no questions asked. We had a battery stop working, Ego mailed us one and we had it in 3-4 days. I'll never go back to gas, if I get a big yard I am either getting a GPS mower or a ride on/zero turn that takes batteries. Even thought they are expensive you again have no gas, no oil, no filters, no fuel lines getting hard, no bulbs losing suction, no carbs getting fouled, you literally only keep up the blades.

I just bought a Toro. Snapper doesn't exist in the market. At least not as the tried abd true snapper.

Im glad it worked for you. I had a battery weed eater and ditched it for an echo.

What Toro model do you guys have?

Get a Honda or Kohler motor.

I bought a Husqvarna self propelled push mower with a Honda engine when we moved into our house 7 years ago and haven’t had one bit of trouble out of it, but I’m not sure that Husqvarna even makes push mowers anymore. I bought it at my local Lowe’s.

21445 It's not the Personal Pace. Squeeze handle to go. PP was only available in AWD at the shop I went to. The PP was sold the day before I went in.

All day, every day. A freaking workhorse, reliable and almost bullet proof.

Honda HRX model with the NeXite deck.

Probably worth looking at the Toro time master 30” mower for a half acre.

If you want painless and and a really good cut then get the Honda HRX217. I’ve had the Toro PP. Its fine but the Honda does everything better. Mulch, bag, cut, start, self propel.

I was going to buy this exact model from Home Depot online a little earlier, I believe it's the HRN which a step down from the HRX, happened to look at Facebook Marketplace and a guy I used to work with had listed one that was a year old like 8 minutes previously for $250.
What are the odds?

I got the Honda hrx217 about a month ago, lowes for 600$ I think and I love cutting the yard now. It’s magnificent. Has 5 year warranty thru Honda and I bought an extra 3 years thru lowes because I have rotten luck

They stopped or paused because they had to recall a lot of them.

I have a Toro 22" Recycler with Kohler engine. Been working like a champ for close to 6 years now.
