Plant/tree that grows in wet soil and shade - property line barrier from seeing neighbor

So one side of my house is about 30 feet from a neighbor's side alley. I can see their HVAC through a window. The 30 ft. alley has 3 story houses on each side, gets barely any sun, and the soil stays moist due to drainage designs of both our properties.
The other sides of my house are wide open looking into fields, but this one big window into my neighbor's HVAC unit pisses me off.
What should I plant in front of the window? Another thread had me convinced I should try "clumping" bamboo but I'm legit worried it'll take over the alley and piss off the neighbor.
Anything else that is tall, grows is shade and wet soil, and has a thin profile?

I'm not - kind of the point of the thread, I need new ideas.
I'll add that I can't do a fence. Too expensive and it wouldn't look good there. I don't need a 20 ft tall plant or tree, but do need something 10 ft tall.
So to recap
- Dark and moist soil
- thin profile
- 10+ ft tall
- fast growing

I have it on my property and you will need to plant well into your property line to avoid eventual creeping. Mine is about 25' tall, and I need to trim the umbrella back sometimes twice a year if you're worried about it encroaching too far. It is planted in what was a low area that held water at certain times of the year, but not anymore. Mine is approx 12 years old. O ly word of caution is if you think you are more than far enough away from your property line, give yourself an add'l 5 feet if it's going to be a permanent privacy screen!

Calycanthus (allspice shrub) might be the answer here after some googling - said it can get to 13 ft.?

I have about 500 yards of ligustrums planted about 4 feet apart.
Planted 10 years ago under a huge live oak grove.
They have since took off and filled out a solid wall of leaves making flowers in spring and summer. They are about 20 feet tall and provide a great natural barrier to the neighboring homes and highway.
I will try to get a picture later on.
