My aerator is clogged. I didn’t have a concealed aerator tool and needle nose wouldn’t work so I ordered a tool on amazon. It doesn’t fit and now I don’t feel like ordering another tool. Any ideas on how to get it off? Would snap ring pliers fit a pfister?

TIA

The very bottom of the faucet doesn’t just unscrew? I can usually unscrew them with my hands or use a rag with channel locks.

I have been able to get some skinny needle nose pliers to work. I have also just broken the filter and pulled it out that way. Make sure you keep the filter and bring it to Lowe’s so you know what size to get.

I bought some sort of universal one from ace hardware a few months ago that was the correct size, but the threaded part was too long to fit in my faucet, so I trimmed it with a razor blade and it works fine

Some faucets have bottom parts that unscrew and you access the filter that way.

On these the filter is screwed in from below. They come with a special tool to remove the filter with slots that align to unscrew it. But OP is probably like me and either threw it out, or bought the house without the tool
