New AC system installed: Smoke alarm goes off

AC guy left about noon yesterday. Complete new systems upstairs and down. AC was working great when I came home from work. All good.
1:30 this morning, the smoke alarm starts going off. It goes off for maybe 30 seconds, and then shuts itself off. Three years in this house and the smoke alarm has never gone off before.
I spent 20 minutes walking around inside and outside of the house. Crawled in the attic, etc. Never smelled smoke, fumes, or anything out of the ordinary. AC still working fine.
I don't believe in coincidences. Does anyone have any theories?
Also: I'm calling the guy back out here today to check everyone again.
Thanks!

Could be extra dust dispersed by all of the work, especially if he messed with duct work. I had trouble with one of my hard-wired smoke detectors being near my A/C return. Had to routinely hit it with compressed air.

That's what I'm guessing as well. Mine went off several years ago the night after I did demo work on a bathroom that was only separated from the hardwired detector by a short hallway. I had shut myself in the bathroom and taped off the door while I was ripping out tile, drywall, and a tub, but then I had to haul it all out in a wheelbarrow and I'm sure some dust kicked up. The only difference is this detector was hardwired into the home alarm system, so I got a full siren blast around dinner time.

How high did you float out of bed when that happened
Check the humidity level that your new system is maintaining. depending on the due point and your temperature settings it may be humidity buildup on the sensor.

Mine did the same thing last year when it was replaced. I think it was the dust because it was just a short alarm. Never happened again
