Need to find a connector for this sprinker pipe end

Anyone know what fitting I need to look for to connect a garden hose to this white pvc pipe feeding an old sprinkler system? (Pic below)

Cut it off and add a PVC hose adapter for $2.50.
May need a couple of other pieces to get it together, but an easy fix.

guessing that was for some type of quick connect system.

I think that was a PVC hose adapter that the female hose thread has broken off of.
