I ran my Troy-Bilt 5.5KW, that's wired into the house via suicide cord, that worked great. Got it after Katrina, ran from Wednesday to Saturday evening, burned from 3-4 gallons every 12 hours, and zero oil burned. Only draw back it's loud as frick and a little under powered.

Looking for an 8500-10,000 watt, that's not so loud, and duel fuel.

Any recs would be awesome, and any personal experiences with duel fuel machines.

Not sure about the size you need but I just bought a Dura Max dual fuel 2200 watt because the ability to run on propane and its super quiet and so far runs great. I use it with our RV.

Westinghouse iGen2200 Portable Inverter Generator

Any reviews on these? Was looking to get one for my motherinlaw. Run fridge and minor stuff. Still out of power in kenner.

Westinghouse Igen 2200 is a good small generator for occasional use. Thinking about getting another for
rv .

+1 on the Westinghouse igen.
Quiet and light weight. Good on fuel too.

I was going to get that one but someone on here a few weeks ago posted about this Champion at Tractor Supply. They had nothing but good things to say about it and for the price, it’s hard to beat.

Just noticed that you asked for dual fuel. Westinghouse makes a 9500 in dual fuel as well. WGen9500DF

I bought a tri-fuel 9400 starting watt Firmin at Costco. Ran it for four days following Delta with no complaints.

If you are ok with running a suicide connection line, you should be fine with an aftermarket natural gas converter kit. You can convert any generator to natural gas or propane.

Is there something wrong with running a suicide cord? If it's done properly, you shouldn't have any issues. I didn't...

We bought a Firman 7500 dual fuel prior to Laura. Used it for Delta as well. No problems using suicide cord and gas.
