The moles have returned with a vengeance in my yard and I will be treating for grubs, etc this Saturday. All of the trails are emanating from my neighbors yard (old couple that don't do any yard treatment whatsoever). I have steadily increased my yard treatments by extending it into their yard. Are there any other things I should be doing besides insect treatment to get rid of them?

What is your current treatment? I have been dropping poison into their tunnels and im not sure if it is working.

Move. It’s the only thing that worked for me.

I tried poison worms, a dog, a trap, and even got to the point I stuck a hose in their tunnel for an hour. Nothing worked they just came back with a vengeance.

I can occasionally catch them in the traps, but it’s difficult. I’ve treated for grubs. But since moles also love to eat earthworms, that had minimal effect.

Has anyone ever tried those ultrasonic spikes? Reviews are all over the place for them.

I'll rent you my Beagle for $75 an hour. He's hell on moles. Will dig 'em out and kill. He will expect a treat also.....one treat per mole.

A decent dog is the only thing that works. I don't want a dog, so I accept the fact that I share my yard with moles. I have tried everything else. Nothing works. I've killed a few here and there, but they multiply so quickly it does no good.

You have to basically nuke the yard for bugs. Kill their food and they leave.

I had a little female cat that would lay waste to them though.

Those ultrasonic spikes are a joke. I had a mole tunnel about 3" away from it.

Yes, no luck.

I've also tried everything. The only thing that semi worked in the past was the spike traps but I had to be out monitoring for new tunnels at least twice a day. Put a trap in place, if it doesn't trigger in 24 hours, move the trap. I killed 6 last year over the course of ~6 weeks (0.5 acre lot) and that helped slow them down. This year holy shite, they are back like a damn plague

I can vouch for the cat recommendations because mine obliterated a whole family of moles by eliminating the offspring (brought me the proof). Yesterday, he brings me a young rabbit (still alive)

Sit in the yard until you see the dirt moving. One blast from a shotgun is pretty hard on them.

Just place these in the tunnels? Not familiar with poison worms.

That's what I figured.
