Howdy all,

Looking to pick up 6 bags of milorganite for my yard tomorrow. No Lowe’s nor Home Depot has any in BR. ACE on millerville is out too.

Where did y’all find yalls at this year?

You might try one of the Cleggs garden centers, 4 locations in BR/ Denham Springs - I seem to recall they had it at the Siegen location.

Next go round by some in February and March when they put it out. They don’t buy enough to last the growing season.

Kinda like trying to buy hunting clothes a month into rifle season.

Home Depot in Broussard always has some and they're the only one, not sure why. For the Lafayette baws anyway.

I went to Ace hardware on N Foster and asked them to order me some. They did.

I bought some last weekend at HD in Denham. They had about half a pallet of it.m, at least.

Stines in Walker also carries it. Haven’t been in the last week or more (impressive for me lol).

Forgot to update this thread. I found it at Cleggs in Denham. Thanks yall. I have never had issues finding it before, and but it throughout the year.

With Milorganite being tougher to find this late in the season, how does Hou-Actinite compare to Milorganite?

No Milorganite to be found in Baton Rouge area Home Depot or Lowes.

Tractor Supply in Gonzales has none.

I went with Hou-actinate instead (Home Depot- Highland). Crossing my fingers...

I was wondering about the Lowe’s version. I might put that out for my next fert (I don’t need much more nitrogen). Alabama doesn’t have its own version I don’t think.

I personally love the smell of Milorganite, idk why. But I started using a fertilizer called GreenTRX last year and love it so far. Only place you can buy it in person in BR is at Ewing off of Seigen. Around $33 a bag

First off, this stuff is awesome.

Second off, try a tractor supply. The two local ones here both carry it. May be difficult to find 6 bags at one of them though.
