I have a Dacor built in microwave that's an odd size with framing so not easy to replace that's not heating nor is the turntable spinning. Everything else as far as display, light, etc. seem to be working normally. I didn't realize the turntable wasn't spinning, so I've already replaced the magnetron and that didn't change anything.

Any suggestions on what's next? The display works normally so assuming its not the board? Doesn't appear to be door switch as it "turns on" and normally that cuts the power. It seems to sound like its running normally, so to me its probably a fuse, diode, or transformer?

welp its time to rebuild the opening to fit a standard microwave now and you dont really have a choice unless you want to spend more then the micro cost you for parts and thats "IF" you can even get another magnetron (the thing that makes the microwaves) for it

I’ve seen 2 door switch issues, and in both cases it acted like you described…would “run” but the turntable doesn’t spin and no “heating up”. I’d start there since it’s a cheap and easy repair.

Interesting, I very much appreciate it. I should have followed the electrical diagram I suppose. That would make sense if the switch is after the circuit board and before the other two.

I had same problem except my turn table would spin it just wouldn't heat. Apparently there are different switches that control different aspects of the function. I just replaced them all (I had 3). Lots of youtube videos. Mine was built in as well - pita to access switches to replace but cheaper than getting new unit.

Just checked the switches, one is definitely burned up/ bad. So thanks

Sadly I already ordered and installed the Magnetron...but hey if the $5 switch is all it was I'll accept it and move on.

Frustrating though as the appliance repair guy just told me "buy a new one"...$5 part..
