I feel like I'm in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

My neighbor and I are on the same page with mowing. The are culdesac lots with relatively small front yards, no apparent property boundary between our yards.

Neighbor comes down with a serious medical issue. Hospitalized for a while.

I will mow their lawn during this trying time, it is decided.

Now the neighbor on the other side, who is an older man who speaks very little English, has been mowing it instead of me. Whatever day I decide I'm going to mow it, he mows it just before me.

Fine, less work for me, right?

Except he is fricking scalping the shite, and scalps half of my shite too, he doesn't know where the property line is.

So here's this guy trying to do something nice, and here I am pissed off trying to figure out if I go tell him not to mow my shite, show him property line, look like an a-hole, etc etc. Or I just forget about it, and let him keep scalping my shite.

My neighbors do the same shite. Scalping one strip on my yard and blowing their clippings (Full of dallis grass) straight into mine (their first pass with chute pointed at me)

I have the same issue (kinda)

My neighbor will pay his lawn man to mow my yard sometimes, except his lawn guy fricking sucks and will scalp the shite out of my yard

I don't know the polite way to tell him to stop, so I just deal with my yard looking like shite for a week

One side of my yard flows into my neighbors. I have thick arse St Aug, she put down Centipede. My St Aug has overtaken the centipede, but her lawn guys still cut it short. Normally I wouldn't care if they followed the property line, but she planted a small garden fairly close to my line, so these lazy fricks just drive the riding lawnmower around the garden, onto my property, scalping my grass, and leaving a scalped semi-circle behind. Drives me nuts, I've told the owner but new hires go rogue.

I’m tempted to put short picket fences with some monkey grass or something on the property lines.

My neighbor scalps his grass too and would always blow his clippings in my driveway and up against the garage door. He also makes a huge u-turn in my driveway that leaves tire marks. One day he was using my driveway to pull through to his yard while pulling a boat and because he is a complete idiot he hit my tree not once but 15 times, which caused it to lean about 30 degrees. When I decided to talk to him he denied doing any of these things and when I showed him the video, he said it wasn't him in his truck pulling his boat. I cursed him out and told him never to set foot or even look in my direction and haven't had issues since.

Long story short, curse him out.

Bruh nut the hell up and go talk to the man. Tell him you appreciate the jester but you are stalking the yard and it is not healthy. Ask him if he remembers what the guy who owns the lawn used to keep it and that it would be nice to do the same.

I’m experiencing something similar right now except my neighbor’s dad is cutting his yard while he’s out of commission due to health issues. The dad apparently doesn’t know where the line is and he scalps the yard, including about 10-15 feet of mine. I’ve had major property line disputes with an old neighbor years ago and don’t want to go through anything similar so I keep my mouth shut but it pisses me off every time I mow my yard, leaving it looking beautiful, only to have him come by the day after and scalp a chunk of it because he doesn’t realize where the line is.

I’m like you though, keep quiet since it’s not permanent.

Ideas:
Thin line of round up on the property line.

Fence.

Cut it every single day.

Talk to him. Doesn't have to be an aggressive conversation. Walk over with a beer and make a new friend.

Put two stakes in the ground with a string running between at the property line.

Put signs with arrows on the string that says "Mine" and "Not Mine".

If this doesn't work, watch for when he goes to cut the yard. Get a super soaker and every time he strays onto your grass, shoot him.

So, he can read your mind? Or, really, are you just procrastinating and then complaining? If not, beat him to it. THINK about mowing on Thursday, but get out there on Tuesday and do it. :)

I would have to confront him about that. If he can't change his technique, then you need to tell him where the boundaries are.
