Is there a shortage of deep/chest freezers right now?

I’ve been trying to buy one for 3 months but can’t find one anywhere.
Anyone know where to find one at? Prefer locally (BR area) but have no prob of ordering online.

Yea, between factory shutdowns and people buying them up to freeze food, there's a significant shortage.

Also stimulus chests all appliances are somewhat low, even washers and dryers.

Was told at lowes that back orders won't show until the end of Sept.

I was going to buy one a couple of months ago and both local Lowe's and HD were doing first come first serve basis when they had shipments come in. They recommend calling on their delivery days to see if they had any and reserve it that way. May be worth trying to see if your local HD/Lowe's is doing something similar.

Yep. Lucked into one that was much larger than what we wanted at a Sears. The delivery guy said that chest freezers were the majority of their deliveries.
