Is it too late to Winterize my lawn?

I just got off a 20 day work schedule and picked up a bag of fertilome 10-0-14 on the way home.
I planned on spreading today and let the rain water water the lawn.
So the question is.
1. Is it too late to winterize?
2. Would using the rain to water be good?

No issues doing it. It’s not really a winterizer. That’s sort of a made up word by Scott’s. Rain is better than irrigation so do it today if it’s going to rain.
