I've been busy/lazy and have let this shite go. It's a small part of my backyard but it's terrible. What would be the best thing to throw at it right now?

eta: There's some St. Aug peaking through all of that shite.

St. Aug. That corner was holding some water that has been handled about 2 weeks ago.

At my old house, I only had a problem with this in shady areas, specifically under a dogwood tree. You could try just cutting down whatever tree is giving it shade.

If you mean MSMA, that will kill St. Augustine grass.

Your problem may be solved then. It normally only grows in areas that stay wet. Maybe just mow it down close to the ground and see if it comes back before spraying?

MSM is not the same as MSMA

MSM is safe for St. Aug, Bermuda and Zoisia

Pre em won’t work on dollarweed. Dollarweed is a waxy weed that grows in wet areas. Msm twice will kill it (manor or am tide). Raise the area.

So, my wife just called and said her dad told her to get the purple bottle of image so she picked some up at Lowes. Is she about to nuke our grass?

I’ve used that and it worked well. Just do a light application then wait a few weeks and see if you need more.

Dollar weed is super easy to kill. The slightest bit of 2,4-d and that stuff will disappear in a week.

Spray Weed Free Zone and the dollar weeds will be visibly dead within a week.
I just did the same and it works.

Can vouch for the above product. Also pull it it’s is kind of satisfying to pull up strings of it.
