For some reason this year the sedges have taken over my yard. I am fighting Kyllinga and what looks like, globe sedge.

So far, I've only been using Image Nutsedge Killer with decent luck. I grass tends to take a beating after spraying it. Any suggestions?

Front yard is centipede that is currently getting switched over to celebration Bermuda. It tends to yellow the centipede.

How does sledgehammer do with the heat? It is a little expensive..

Sedgehammer or prosedge. Use a surfactant.

I’ve used Certainty on kyllinga with good results. With a surfactant.

+1. I’d be curious on any recommendations for quality sedge killers that can stand the heat for a Bermuda lawn. Image ain’t cutting it.

Sedgehammer or prosedge are fine on Bermuda in the heat.

No problem with heat for me. I bought the sedgehammer + online for $14. Made a gallon. I only have a few spots where it’s growing so it’s more than enough for spot spray for me.

Get a $5 bottle of Spectracide Weed and Yellow Nutsedge killer from Home Depot. Grab a beer and go out and spray them.

Yea this shite does work very well for spot spraying. Not sure you want to walk around the yard with a couple cases spraying every weed tho.

Sedgehammer works slowly. Give it another week and you should see something

Did you use a surfactant? A sedge is not a weed or a grass, it is a sedge. The visible part dying doesn’t mean anything. The acorn dying in the ground is what matters. Give it time. Reapply after 21-28 days

Just give it time then. Do you have Celsius? You can do a Celsius/Sedgehammer mix as well.

How many things can be mixed together? I have some sedge that I want to take care of and I have prosedge, but I also want to mix some MSM Turf and some Talstar. Can all of those be mixed in the same tank for 1 spraying?

Sledgehammer Plus contains the surfactant already. They've eliminated the need to add (as with Sedgehammer original). It will take about 12-14 days or more. Just forget about it and, one day you'll look and...the sedge will be gone. I would apply a second dose a few days after initial application though. Helps to be sure you've covered it all.

Thats what I usually use. I've killed everything else besides the sedges and splurge
