Thinking about limewashing my brick and want to do a little test section in my back yard. Instead of spending $40 for a quart of the stuff in a can I was thinking about mixing a small batch up myself for a test square. Anywhere in the greater NO area I can find some hydrated lime in a small batch?

I've found it in feed stores in 50lb bags before. It was cheap b4 covid, like $10 a bag. No idea about in N.O. I'd be calling masonry supply houses though.

Sorrry to break the news but you will not be able to do this correctly. It’s not as easy as it looks. Leave it up to the professionals.
