I have contacted 5 pool companies around the MS gulf coast and I cannot get anyone to do anything more than send a generic email. I never thought it would be so hard to throw $40k+ at someone...what am I doing wrong?

I straight up had a pool guy tell me he doesn’t take the job unless it’s 50k or more.

We are in the finishing stages of our pool build and our builder says he is absolutely covered up with business. Said people are saying they are worried about not doing vacations so wanting to have something at home.
Had a client whose son works for another company couple hours away and said same thing.

Call/text Derrick Vice from elite pool and spa Madisonville and say Ross referred you. Will get a great price.

Had pol put in three years ago, with waterfall $65,000 . Might be low balling yourself. Not sure if it’s more expensive being a salt water pool. Very cheap maintained.

We had Premiere pools do ours. Good pool but lots of extra cost and now that it’s built we can’t get them to even call back. We do use A+Pool service out of Covington. That was best thing we ever did they call right back and believe it or not have actually done things with no charge. Will tell you why not do urself give you chemicals and know how. I fixed vacuum after they told me how . Saved hundreds of dollars.

If I’m covered up with work I’m not discounting at all and certainly not for some random dude online. Now I may jack my rate up 20% and then throw on a 10% discount...

I “appreciate” all of the responses and would like to point out to all the cool guys who commented on how much more a pool will cost than I stated, nothing you guys have quoted falls outside of the $40k+ I typed.

This is the wrong time of year to buy a pool.

what kind of responses were you expecting dude?
were you hoping your thread reached the executive offices of the pool contractors and they’d coming running to get your job?

there is no “how” to get the “attention” of someone by making this thread anonymously anyway. The frick were thinking your advice would be...”offering a night with my wife got me the pool I wanted”?

Dude, real talk, $40k ain't shite. The reputable companies are doing $75-$130k types of jobs.
