How to care for a corn plant??

n00b once again.
About a month ago I bought a 6ft corn plant for the house. I’m following the recommended steps to care for it.
Little low sunlight, I keep it close to a window where the blinds let low light in.
I water it about once a week. But I’m curious that I may be overwatering or underwatering it.
It’s already showing some brown spots on a few leaves, and 2 leaves are completely dead.
Any tips?

You're probably doing fine.
Most plants do not do as well indoors as they do outside or in a nursery.

This one is 30 years old. They get brown leaves, no big deal.

Watering once a week may be too much. We water ours like once a month at most. Those trunks suck up and hold a lot of water.

I’ll try once per month and see how it comes out.
When watering once per month, would it be good to add some plant food with it? Or not?

Not your typical corn plant.
Well, I'll be damned.
I was expecting a typical corn stalk and thought the thread was kind of weird.
