Any remedy to combat a horse fly swarm? Notice in the last week or two they began appearing on back patio. Had same issue last summer. I have a large pond behind my house that may be the cause but damn tonight was rough. I had citronella
Torches going but we killed over 20 with a swatter. Hopefully they got the message!

Repel lemon eucalyptus spray works on skin. They will still hit you but not bite.

I second this, works best when you slather it on like cologne in high school. Great stuff.

I read that tea tree oil helps. I have the horse fly problem also.
Will try to dip some cloth strips in the tea tree oil and hang them on patio

I've had more fun with this Bug-A-Salt than I expected. Well worth the price. A father's day gift last year:
