Actually, replaced Samsung with a Whirlpool and are much happier. Ice maker is fricking loud but it makes these perfect whiskey glass ice cubes

My parents’ LG has been a paperweight. Biggest POS they have ever bought.

Having previously worked in appliances distribution I would highly recommend Whirlpool. Best bet as far as quality and price point.

Would not recommend GE as their appliances division is now owned by the Chinese.

Frigidaire (Electrolux) is OK.

Napoleon is the resident OT appliance expert. If you search you might find a thread he's posted in a bunch. Seems like there was one a week or two back. I only know based on my own experience.

Go with whirlpool or Maytag. Both have a repair division in America, so when your shite breaks they can send someone to fix it. Samungs, LG, and other foreign brands have a bunch of lemons and they contract out all repair work. It’s also a bitch having to talk to a foreigner when you are having problems.

Tigerb it is working ok but has some kind of slow leak or condensation . Have a towel on bottom shelf and have to change every week or so. It’s not the ice maker because it hasn’t worked or been hooked up for several years. If anyone wants it the price is right...free.Stainless steel front black sides . Would make a great extra fridge for a storeroom for beer. It’s a Whirlpool 22 cf. I’ll probably get another Whirlpool as I have had good Whirlpool appliances thru the years.

This is the correct way to do this thread. Too much info and you'll have these fricking losers giving you all kinds of useless advice completely unrelated to the original ask.

Smart man. I learned the hard way.

Whirlpool, Kitchenaid, and Fridgeaire seemed to be the reliable ones. LG, Samsung, and to a lesser extent GE were the weaker ones.

SEClint that’s why you come to TD O-T. With all the BS that goes on with TD there are a bunch of knowledgeable helpful people on here.

We've been happy with our GE double oven stove and gas range. Dishwasher works ok if you scrub of stuck on food. Samsung French door fridge with pull out freezer drawer is good except the ice maker is frozen over and apparently is a common problem.

What do you need, like $20 or something?

any recommendations

Oh, my bad. Just go to Sears and buy one. It's about all Sears has left to offer. Never hear anybody bitching about Frigidaires.
