Seeing alot of threads all over TD about gnats. Good Cajun buddy shared a recipe with me that I've found to work.

1 part vanilla extract
2 parts water

mix in spray bottle.

apply.

The only downfall I've found (if it is one) is that you smell like a delicious baked cookie.

Thought this would help someone and it's very cheap.

Happy Easter everyone!

Dollar store vanilla perfume. The old men around here swear by it.

Vanilla extract works, but Avon Skin So Soft works better.

My entire coonass family on the bayou buys the Walgreen's version of Amber Romance in bulk once a year. Going fishing with them smells like a French whore house.

My Paw Paw Britch always had Bounce dryer sheets that he soaked in a concoction of Amber Romance, Skin So Soft, rubbing alcohol, regular vanilla extract, Mexican vanilla, Dollar Store vanilla perfume, water, and 17 drops of off-road diesel (on-road diesel did not work). The key to it working was you had to chew on Eucalyptus leaves at the same time.

He called it Dat Gnat Gat.

The key to keeping gnats away is never stop the boat.
