Pull out the drawer at the bottom. Look in the back and you will see the igniter. Sometimes that drawer will slightly dislodge the igniter. I had that problem. Just plug it back in tight.

Might be what's wrong.

Replace the igniter/glowplug.

Igniter was the problem. I could have ordered part from amazon for $40, had it tomorrow. Instead I paid a tech $140 to fix it today.

My oven did the same last night. I have a wall oven and went to cook 20 homemade crawfish pies and noticed the oven was taking forever to beep when I had it set for 375. Checked the oven and it was cold as a well diggers arse.

Ordered a new igniter and will have it soon. Damn wall ovens have gone up a LOT since I got mine right after Katrina. Paid around $500 for it and they are running between $1400--$3000.

I have a GE stove that happened with. I replaced the igniter and worked for a year then went out again. My wife called GE and bitched them out. They sent us free parts...new igniter, heat shield and burner shield. Had some appliance people install it for 75 bucks. Jerks told me i installed the first one wrong and didn't replace shield when i did it Guess you learn something new.

Igniters are common items to go out...they are used in gas HVAC furnaces and gas hot water heaters. Igniters glow a soft red to orange color and they provide the spark for the gas jet that flows over them. If it's not glowing, likely a bad igniter. You can remove bottom cover over the igniter, close door and try to turn on "bake". You will see if igniter "glows". If it glows then something wrong with gas flow.
