Fire pit on a deck

I just ordered a Breeo X 24" fire pit and I want to put it on my deck. Obviously I'll need to put it on something to protect the deck from the heat. Can I just use regular pavers for that or would I need something more substantial than that?

I used a 24" x 24" paver on a 24" piece of plywood. Worked fine, but I had airspace between fire pit and paver.

Thanks, this one will have a space too, but it’s supposed to get hot as hell.

Go small on the first test run fire.

I had one of those cheap round bowl fire pits about 30" diameter and I kept trying to put too big of logs in it and I had embers always flying all around.
I could never do that on a deck

I don’t know about that one but I have a solo stove and I’m pretty sure they say you can run on a deck with there spacer ring. Get a infrared thermometer and take some readings.
Just looked it up, I bet you wouldn’t have to do much to put it in your deck. Go slow and test it but it looks like the bottom is elevated and it’s probably double wall on the bottom of the pit.

You are probably fine with pavers under it. That said, my biggest fear would be what falls out of the fire pit. Unless you are very careful with the fuel size, burning stuff falls out of mine all the time in the yard. That is much more likely than it combusting below. You'll probably discolor your deck eventually.
