Yes, although ice makers in the door tend to give more problems, at least with my KA —- service guy said so.

But overall, they make a great higher end consumer product.

My 5 year old LG fridge is about to go to the curb. Total piece of shite. KitchenAid is one of the brands I'm considering.

I have a Samsung fridge with the tablet in the door and that’s the only thing worth a damn about the fridge. Go figure

Upvote for Kitchenaid. Only issue I had with the last one I owned was it was a touch noisy.

We have a KitchenAid dishwasher and will probably change all appliances over to KitchenAid this year. I’ve been really impressed with the dishwasher.

I have a Whirlpool side-by-side that is 20 years old. It has never given me a single problem.

Don't get rid of it. Most new appliances are plastic pieces of shite now. Washers, dryers, fridges - all of them.

My parents did a complete kitchen remodel and my dad refused to get rid of the Whirlpool fridge I’m pretty sure they bought when I was in elementary school. Brand new everything but that white fridge from the 90’s

Never buying Kitchenaid fridge again. Had one from 10 years ago that was built great, drawers were smooth with glide system and it was just sturdy. When we moved we wanted bigger fridge so we ordered the same fridge but latest version and bigger. Features were listed as having the same glide drawers.

It has been the biggest piece of shite, only mistake out of all the appliances we got for this house. Door handles have literally fallen off, have to be constantly tightened, freezer handle still rattles even when screws are tightened all the way. Drawers are no longer satin glide as advertised, just plastic rails that you would get on any cheap fridge that don’t open and close well. calling Kitchenaid service was just a waste of time.

We had a KitchenAid fridge for ~3 years. We had a narrow opening to work with so we ended up with one of the narrower models that has the water dispenser inside the fridge. Fridge worked great except for one major design flaw: the water reservoir was located on the bottom of the fridge and froze up frequently--nothing worse than waking up thirsty/dehydrated after a night of drinking dying for a glass of water only to find out the line was frozen.

Luckily, we had purchased a warranty through Best Buy and they changed out several parts (damper, reservoir, and control panel) only to find out that there was nothing broken, it was just a poor design. Based on what I've read, the thermostat was located at the top of the fridge, so even though the temperature was set above freezing, the temperature at the bottom of the fridge was colder causing the reservoir/line to freeze.

Best Buy ended up crediting us for the refrigerator since we purchased the warranty. I would likely purchase another KitchenAid fridge provided it did not have this same design.
