Disposing small propane tanks

Is there a place I can dispose of small propane tanks like the ones you use with Coleman grills? They are full and I don’t have the grill anymore and I know you can’t just trash them. Any advice?

give them away, that shits expensive and someone near you has a propane torch or grill and would be very happy to have them

I agree with you except they are not expensive. Like $5 a bottle

A Boy Scout troop would love to have them. We used them pretty consistently for lanterns.

Agree with giving to them to friend or neighbor.
But if you place them out by the road, somebody will snag them up within an hour.

Throw them in a bonfire and enjoy the big boom

If you have a patio and are plagued by mosquitos in the summer, buy a fogger and use the tank in that. They use the same tanks. I just bought a Black Flag fogger and for the first time this summer I can use my patio at night with out being torn up by mosquitos.

I’ll take them off your hands.

I’ll give them to you. They are just gonna collect dust at my house.

In Louisiana, state law requires all propane distributors to accept old tanks free of charge. If you can't give it away to a friend or family member, bring it to your nearest propane distributor.
