Did Craftsman specify that their power tools have hard to start engines?

I’m talking about older Craftsman stuff. Chainsaws, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, etc.
Thanks for listening.

Pretty sure they just take other brands and slap their name on it.

Call your mother to come suck start your leaf blower. She's quite good.

Spray carbuerator fluid in the air filter. It will crank right up.

That's why I use a splash of two-stroke fuel instead, but actually into the carb throat after the filter is removed. My chipper/shredder wouldn't pull a prime after being in storage for a few years, I drained all the fuel out and poured a shot of MMO into the carb bowl and fogged the cylinder bore before putting it up, a splash of 50:1 and it fired right up and ran long enough to pull fresh fuel.
I have an old Craftsman 2-stroke hedge trimmer I am trying to get running again. Don't particularly need it, have a big Echo trimmer than runs fine but I don't like having non-running equipment for any reason. Needs a carb rebuild but even after sitting up for 15 years it still fired up with some fuel squirted into it.

Idk. Works on my mower when its been sitting for awhile and is not cranking. It always continues to run after that.
