Pretty simple. What cost should I be be expecting from someone (not a company but someone that does tiling) to tile my 6x11 rectangle laundry room. I already have all of the materials and it’s just 12x12 square tiles.

I planned on doing it but will now be out of town for over a month after next week and just don’t have the time now.

I don’t know where you live and whose a available but I was looking to have a 6x8 cement laundry room floor overlayed in a grey color and I had to go to the ends of the earth to find someone who would even take a job that small. Hopefully you don’t have as much trouble as I did but many medium to larger operations don’t even want to touch a job that small.

All that said, It cost me $750 So while not the same exact work and size, maybe that gives you a general idea of cost

At that price you're talking $330 and I doubt you'll get someone to come out 2 days, even though partial days to do that job for that little money.

Problem with hiring guys outside HD or Lowes is they are mainly good for labor and usually don't have the necessary tools to do a lot of specialty jobs.

You won't see them with tile saws waiting to be hired.

They are not that expensive. I bought one when I redid my bathroom.

FWIW a lot of the immigrant labor don't use tile saws unless they are doing natural stone. They use either snap cutters or a cutting disk.

What the frick

I had a 7x12 bathroom floor and 6ft tub to ceiling fully tiled for just $100 more than that.

If the surface is prepped, tile is a 2 day job no matter what. Well one day and a half a day to grout. So to do a 5x5 ft area really isn't a lot less money than say a 20x20 ft area. You lay one day and then come back and grout the next.

Also, these types of jobs it completely depends on how badly you want it done, time of year, and how busy construction is. You could easily have the same guy quote you for 2-3x the price depending on his work load at the time.
