What not to buy is important, something you bought but regret.
For my purpose it is for trimming saplings on a dam, too steep and too many for me to do it by hand or chainsaw.

Greenworks one works like a charm. Often on sale on amazon.

How often are you going to use it? Many of the battery powered tool companies make them. Ryobi, dewalt, milwauki, etc. I'd just buy whatever brand battery powered tool you have already honestly if its just for work a couple times a year? Now if you need it a lot, then the echo gas is supposed to be the best followed by Stihl.
Also, if you are talking about branches under 2 inches then a just a pole saw with a new saw works great.

I have a ryobi interchangeable power head that works great.
I have the hedge trimmer, tiller, and saw head attachments for it. It has been the best "lawn care"/landscaping tool I have purchased

I have the ryobi one too and it works just fine, never had an issue and I’ve cut some decent sized branches down out of some oak trees

I just bought the Ryobi 18V this weekend. It's still in the box.
Like previous poster stated, buy to match other battery products you already own.
