My back yard is almost all carpet grass and various weeds with some mixed in centipede. If I spray now, will I just turn it into a mud pit or can I expect the centipede to take over as the weeds die off?

front yard is much better off but still lots of weeds, should I hit it with Weed free zone or go with Celsius?

I just spot sprayed yesterday. Nervously waiting to see if I end up with a bunch of dead patches.

ETA: Sprayed a large patch of carpetgrass in my front yard last year in August. Over winter it turned to bare dirt and became compacted. I had to till it up and plug it this year. It's slowly filling in. This area was probably 15 ft long by 3 ft wide.

Centipede will fill in yes…..but it will be slow af. If the spots are big enough for sod I’d go that route.

Crap. Might be better to wait until next spring and wipe it all out then.

I sprayed Celsius 2 weeks ago and plan on doing it again tomorrow. So far there has been no detectable damage to my centipede.

This. I used Celsius on my Centipede all summer last year and have used it at least twice so far this summer. Never had a bad reaction.

You are fine spraying celsius to kill the carpetgrass. However, there is a reason that centipede is called lazy man's grass. Sod it.
