Found little holes where they have burrowed into the ground. Suggestions?

Throw a smoke bomb or two in the hole

I have never had an issue with them, but my dad has a trap set up in their path of travel and caught about 12 in a couple of weeks time. He hasn't baited the trap with anything that I am aware of so they are just stupid it appears.

If you want a little fun put some bait out by the hole. Grab a few beers and a BB gun. Once it is dark they will come out to the bait. PEW PEW I did this and my kids had a blast. We wiped out a whole family one night when they all went up a pine tree. picked them off one at a time.

The same method Bill Murray performed in Caddyshack. It’s the only logical way.

Squirrels dig holes all over my yard, hiding nuts or looking for. Most likely not mice.

pour a gallon of gasoline into the rat hole. make fuse by soaking a rope in more gasoline. get six inches of 3/4" pipe nipple and run gas soaked rope through it, and set into rat hole. pack with mud the rat hole that gasoline was poured into around pipe nipple leaving about 1 inch of pipe nipple exposed. light rope. stand behind nearest tree. rats will be blown to bits.
