Depends all on your budget. I would avoid a liner pool at all costs though.

Home & Garden Board for serious answers. But stay here if you want to see people tell you a pool is trashy.

Take a trip to a nice resort three to four times a year, forget about the pool and save some money.

We did semi in ground. Very happy and saved a lot of money.

Above ground pools are trashy. In ground pools aren't trashy, they're just a money pit

Fiber if you want easy maintenance and long lasting, gunite if you want something custom. I wouldn’t do a liner.

Buy some ground. Dig a hole in it. Add water. You're welcome.

Both my neighbors have a pool and I’ve never been in them.

Definitely gunite. You may consider pilings too. I live in Covington and have neighbors where cracking occurred during dry spells. When the soils are saturated with water your pool is safe. However when that water dries up during times of no rain you can get stress concentrations in some areas of the pool walls that cause cracking.
