Don’t want to break the bank but the electric one we have while great for garden pavers and small areas, the driveway takes forever to do. The circular attachment isn’t very powerful when connected to it.
What’s a good that won’t cost $500+?

Slightly over your budget but that’s the best branded motor/pump combo. That one may have a higher PSI than you need also. Stay away from the vertical set ups, those pumps fail the fastest. Which ever one you buy, while in use, don’t let it run without depressing the handle at least every minute. If you need a beer, turn it off.. That’s a common cause of pump failures over time.

I have a Generac 3,000 psi one and it cleans everything I've used it on. I believe I paid $350 (seriously) for it from Home Depot 4 years ago. Works great.

I bought this one. Wait for it to be on sale at $250, don't pay $300 for it. Quality us good, has higher quality metal components, and works very well for my residential needs.
Spend a little more and get a set of 4.0 orifice nozzles for it and it really maximizes the pressure to volume ratio and "unlocks" it. Works well with the surface cleaner attachment. I use it cleaning siding, composite decking, smooth concrete patio, and rough concrete deiveway.

I watched this guy’s video on this topic earlier this week. This video is primarily about the circular surface cleaner but he links a video where he reviews pressure washers as well. Doc’s channel is pretty informative.

My father picked up a sun joe electric on amazon. It is their best pick, has over one thousand 5 star reviews And is around $150. We pressure washed his patio and fire pit, and it looks brand new. I was surprised how powerful it was. Flipping an electric switch beats the hell out of lawn mower pulls.

Ryobi 2300 psi electric from Home Depot works wonders for me. I bought it last year for under $300
