Wife used to burn Circle E candles and they seem to put out the most scent. What worked better was a LAMPE BERGER,it burns scented alcohol. We quit burning candles because I read article that breathing candle fumes is not good for the lungs.I’m not sure if that is true but the article sounded pretty convincing.

Amy's Country Candles
Honestly, I haven't ordered any for quite awhile. There weren't any scriptures on their candles or on their website last time I looked. I'm hoping the candles themselves haven't changed because I'm going to order two. Vanilla Sugar Cookie is my favorite. Also, they are pricey. Order the jelly jar size to try first, maybe.

NO NO NO.
wife bought several of those THREE WICK candles (nice, expensive ones) and here's what my 3 week-old WHITE air filters looked like after a few days of her burning these candles for several hours a day. my HVAC sounded like a jet trying to take off.
if that happened then what the hell am i breathing and how much of this is in our furniture?

Have y’all tried wax warmers?
They make large ones for kitchen & small ones for bathroom areas
I am currently using woodwick lavender wax which I am disappointed in but the Gain / Febreeze melts are very strong

Dang, that's crazy.
i know! i have a 3rd one just as bad (20x30) that i didn't have any spares for so i'm going to have to run to home depot today to get one for it too.
i had never heard of such a thing and when i heard the hvac straining the other night and opened the return i had to turn on every light in the house to make sure i wasn't imagining that they had turned black.
damndest thing ever. the hvac would make a massive BOOM sound when it cut off as the pressure relaxed. you know that has GOT to be good for the system long term.

I do not believe in essential oil medicinal benefit, I'm not crazy, but I do like the smell of some.
I drip some on the cardboard portion of our HVAC intake filters and it blasts the house with the smell. Strong for a couple hours, but afterwards it's a faint smell for a few days.
Great bang for buck as it's $8 for this jar and it lasts for a LONG time. I like eucalyptus and lavender. You can also get other scented oils like "fresh laundry", etc. that you can use in the same way.

Also, should go without saying, do not put oil on the actual filter portion of the intake filter. Just the carbboard frame. The ones we get (cheap) have the cardboard fencing support on the back and I put it on that because the air runs all around it.

Anthropologie’ s Capri Blue Volcano is my favorite. My daughter introduced me to it and the fragrance is amazing without being overly sweet. Amazon has them, but I think they are knock offs and not as good.

Wal Mart has a Better Homes & Gardens candle that is supposed to be a very similar scent. It is Red Lava Citrus. I enjoy the scent and the cheaper price.
I do really prefer to use a candle warmer or wax melts instead of lighting a candle. It just feels safer and it's definitely cheaper if you just use a candle warmer.

Whoa. I remember reading about candles being bad for you and I really cut down on my candle usage, but geeze.

My favorite are Bath and Body works. They smell the strongest to me for the longest time. I've tried walmart/better home and Gardens/etc and they never smell very long to me.

I was going to ask if anyone has had those candle warmers? It seems they get so hot that they scorch the fragrant wax so it smells awful.
I donated those wax warmers and am now going to try a couple of those warmers you keep on the desk at work to keep your coffee warm. Going to put a few squares of the wax in an old canning jar.
I have some expensive jar candles I used to use the coffee warmers under and it worked very well although, of course, the wick went to the bottom.
I don't like burning candles either due to the cob webs. Maybe it is an old wives tale but it sure seems to bring out the cob webs. Or maybe it is more of a housekeeping issue... I just don't see them.
