Back again with another AC question… Bathroom vent edition

AC guy comes out and replaces the inside Lennox unit because the coil was leaking so bad it would only hold freon for a week. (Learned that the hard way). Said outside unit was fine and didn’t need to be changed. After changing the inside unit he adds 2lbs of freon. Since then the AC is still not getting cooler than 75 or so in the house. However there is cold air blowing out of all the vents. AC guy said he’s coming add more freon tomorrow. Hopefully that is the issue.
In the bathrooms, since the house was built in the late 80’s, there’s no AC vents in the bathrooms just heater/vents with no vent going to the roof or anything. They are literally just sitting there. One bathroom is 90 degrees because there’s hot air coming through it at a temp of 101. And the other vent can feel cold air coming up into the attic from it. Complete opposites. I’ll try to add a picture of vents.
Not sure what the next move is if this doesn’t work.

Get a $5 can of spray foam or some batt insulation and insulate around the hvl. There should be a baffle inside to keep the attic air from coming in.

That needs to be vented out the roof as well.

Have him tell you what the temperature split is between the return air and a supply register near the air handler - most techs write all that information down on the invoice sheet.
I remember your OP, and as I recall you are new home owner. Others have given you some good advice on the bathroom vents. Just remember the HVAC equipment is only one part of the equation of keeping a house cool in summer, warm in winter, dehumidified and comfortable - air infiltration, house insulation, a good HVAC duct system, etc. are also every bit as important.
Based on your issues with the bathroom vents that were installed in the house, sounds to me you need to do a lot homework on investigating air filtration issues in your new “old” house between attic and conditioned area below, amount of attic insulation, windows, exterior doors, etc. If such a poor job was done with the bathroom exhaust vents, probably a good indication you have numerous other air infiltration issues that need to be addressed/fixed that will improve the efficiency of your HVAC and home comfort, and many of those projects can be DYI.
Tremendous amount of good information on the web on what to look for and how to address it.

Every house I've lived in, the fart fans exhaust only to the attic.

My house built in 2000 was the same way, I ran vent hose from the fans through the attic out to the soffit for each bathroom on the 2nd floor. Works great for moisture and smells.
The vent in the half bath under the stairs on the first floor goes nowhere, of course.??

Better yet. Tell him to give you the superheat and sub cooling. Look up the manufacturers guidelines by the serial # and model #. Beer can cold is not the proper way to set refrigerant levels.

It sounds to me like you need the ac guy to run some flex duct to the bathrooms and install some vents in them. Sounds plumb miserable to take a dump in a 90 degree bathroom.
