I have never had this level of lawncare solicitation that I have had this Spring so far. Not so much the big players, but the small time guys.

ATL suburbs

cost of gas and material has probably caused a few people to do their own work.

This and I think a lot of guys also got into it to work for themselves on their own time during Covid, I’ve seen a ton of small one or 2 man operations now when I drive around that barely look ‘professional’. Now I’m not saying you have to have expensive stuff to do a residential lawn, but my neighbors guy works out of a mini van? Guy pulls his mower and weed eater out of there.

My guy went from $45/week to $75/week. That may have something to do with it.

Lawn care probably more so than landscapers.

One of the good operations here told me he can’t find workers. Was paying 15/hr, then 20, and now 25. Still has trouble finding help.

Wow, in LA? I pay $100 month and Jose comes every Friday, so that is sometimes 5 visits in one month. Was $80 per month but I gave him a raise in Jan.
