My gas one is RIP. Considering getting an electric one.
Anyone with an electric mower they recommend?

my fiancée bought one. And it only works when the cord is plugged into it...so don’t buy one of those

No, but I do have a battery powered trimmer and leaf blower. They work just as well as gas and much less maintenance involved. Battery lasts about an hour per charge, and I have 2 batteries so more than enough for my needs.

In my experience, I've absolutely hated using electric lawn equipment.

Suffered with one for about two years in order to "save money," just get a gas mower.

Yes.
Mrs Tulane stem alum prefers it as she's paranoid about gas cans.
It's not that bad TBH. It's not self propelled and seems a little underpowered.
Green works is the brand.

I have a small yard and have those as well. They work well enough. And I don’t have to fix them before every other use either.

I use the Ego from Home Depot. Works great if you have a small yard and there is no maintenance. Not as powerful as gas. If you have over 2000 square feet to mow, then you are probably better off with gas.

Yet likely she drives a dangerous motor vehicle surrounded by other maniacs and idiots driving same while sitting on top of 20 gallons of said explosive fuel.

I helped my father-in-law cut his grass this weekend with his electric mower. It cut just as good as gas mower. In my experience, electric lawn equipment tends to break or quit working a lot more than gas equipment.

The EGO lawnmower commercials always intrigue me. They claim to have better cutting torque than gas.

I have the Kobalt 80-volt Max Brushless Lithium Ion 21-in Self-propelled Cordless Electric Lawn Mower
.
$599 at Lowe's. Rated 5 stars for a reason. It's powerful. The 80V 6A battery does both front and backyards without breaking a sweat. 1/4 acre lot. Ever since the first use I have yet to come close to pushing it below 3/4 charge when finished.
Quiet, push button start and stop using your thumbs on a paddle centered on the handle. Cuts easily. No gas, no oil, no fumes, no muffler, no spark plug, no carburetor. Need to sharpen or replace the blade? Tilt it on its side. No oil or gas to leak out.
Don't pay $599 though. Get a manager. I complained about the price. He brought it down to $399.

To be fair, I hate the new gas cans. They are stupid. Some fool changed something that didn't need to be changed and it definitely wasn't for the better.
Maybe that's why she's paranoid about them.

Which Lowe's? I don't see how they can reduce the price by $200.

I agree. But, pick your battles.
