So far, I’ve had three no shows and one guy trying to get $11/square foot to form, pour finish
ETA, that includes the concrete, but still insanely high.

Call this guy - Don @ 504-723-0247 and tell him Jared recommended him to you.
Last year he fixed some horrible work I had done the year before. Would use 100 times out of 100.

My boy Melvin is awesome and cheap! Doesn't speak the best English but does good work. I've sent a lot of people his way and all have been happy. 504-408-6456

Several factors in play here to analyze your current proposal.
1) Construction work force is extremely stretched right now for all trades.
2) How many SF do you have? It is hard to judge a cost on an economy of scale without knowing this. If you have a small area to place, the labor will need to be paid for that particular day no matter if it is 200 SF or 2,000 SF.
3) How many CY of concrete are included? There is an uncharge of getting a short load. It is cheaper to place 10 CY than 4 CY when it comes to purchasing concrete.
4) What is the plan for your excavated spoils? Will this guy remove them from your property at completion?
I am currently paying $3/ SF for labor only for commercial projects, fwiw.

$3-3.50/SF for labor is what I budgeted for.
1. Yep
2. 720
3. 12
4. There will be virtually none. Actually have to bring in sand, which isn’t included in the $11/SF estimate

Bump for more recommendations. I have all of my other trades set up, but the concrete guy is holding it all up.
FYI,
-Melvin’s estimate was high as giraffe nuts and he isn’t licensed
-Steve came out but never got me a price, then said he was too busy to take the job when I followed up
-Don and I have been in contact a bit. Real nice guy, but I’ve given up on getting an estimate at this point.
