indeed, ive never actually seen a fishing thread on the ot.
however, i see 3 or 4 fitness/nutrition threads each day.
that board should be started way before any jobby fishing board.

It's not that I prefer any boards. Every time a new board is created though it waters down the OT a little more. There is such a thing as having too many specific boards and I think TD is close to that now.

Limited out at Toledo Bend.
B.A.S.S. was having a tournament so the fishing was crowded. A lot of pressure on the lake.
Some of the pros only caught a few fish. The locals did better as is usually the case when fishing is hard.

it seems like there is alot of interest in the threads when they are started. i think it would be a great board and probably get alot of new members just to post on it. i am all for it

I do not go there often, but I just tried a thread there to see if it gets some hits.

It's a waste IMO. The more specific boards you have on here then the less activity other boards get. A good example was the Wrestlemania threads getting moved from the OT to the Movie/TV board. It's been on the OT forever and gets more activity that way but now that we have such specific boards it gets moved and is way less active. I don't read it but that is just one small example. If we keep going things will be so watered down here it will be very boring. I think the balance now is good. The more boards you get the less traffic certain boards will get and the less people will respond to threads. It makes no sense when it took a fishing thread 3 days to reach 15 pages the other day on the OT. Imagine a hunting board where it has less traffic than the OT. Plus, I still say it will just be people posting pics of game they caught/shot cause that's basically what the 15 page thread the other day was.

i think the thread you just started will get better replies this afternoon or tomorrow.
i have had threads i have wanted to start in the past but havnt because it doesnt really fit with the o.t.
buddy of mine is buying a new bay boat and i have been trying to do some research on it. thought people coulda helped me out, but i never started thread. i would have in the outdoor board or whatever it is hopefully called.
