Thoughts on the speed 3’s vs. 2’s? Recently bought my first pair of 2’s and love them. Almost pulled the trigger to buy a second pair but held off because I’ve read really good things on the 3’s

haven't personally ran in the 3 yet but heard they feel more stable due to slightly wider section in the midfoot area. B/w me and my GF we've been through 10+ pairs of speed 1 and 2 so hopefully the 3 isn't a downgrade.

I always trust BITR and they unanimously agreed the Speed 3 is the best one yet. I’ll probably get a pair of 3’s on sale once I run through my 1’s. Might be a while though. Would just pull the trigger on these but my wife would kill me.

Good deal, thanks guys. I’m holding off as well. I am in the market for a pair of daily trainers, but the Novablast III but having issues.

yeah i'm gonna wait until they put the 3's on sale for the new model. over the summer i got a pair of speed 2's and shift 2's for 50% off each. Saucony runs some really good deals if you order direct off their website.

endo speed can easily be used as a daily trainer. you come up with a type of run and i've most likely ran it in endo speeds.

Has anyone ran in the Takumi sen 8? I’m thinking about grabbing a pair during the adidas BF sale for $90.

midsole stack is similar to endorphin speed, so am i correct in assuming a similar ride?

I bought a pair of Speed 2's over the summer and use them as my daily trainers. I've got around 200 miles on them and just bought another pair for $80 last week. I will use them to run the LA Half coming up in January.

I wanted to buy the Speed 3's but they are still full price and I honestly don't care for any of the colors vs the 2's.

Have not, but they get stellar reviews. Didn’t realize the stack was that high on them.

TRE just wrapped up in Austin today I think. Lots of cool new shoes on the horizon. Adidas has a trail racer that looks sweet, Nike Vaporfly N%3, Peg 40, NB SC Trainer 3, Asics Gel Nimbus 25 looks nice, Puma and Brooks have some interesting stuff coming, among others.

Speed 2s

How do you like them ? I’m not a fan. Really liked the first speeds.

I don't find my 2's are as springy as the 2nd pair of Speed 1 I have. But they are about what the first pair of Speed 1 felt like. I think it just varies. I have a dumb theory that the color matters, but I have no chemistry based theories or workable data.

Midsole on speed 1 and 2 is identical, there shouldn't be any difference. I have both and the ride is the same. I'll probably buy a pair of 3s next year when they go on clearance.

Maybe I just got a weird pair or something. My 2s just feel heavier for some reason. I’ve looked high and low for a cheap pair of the originals.

I think the 2s are a touch heavier due to the upper, but I doubt it's anything noticeable.

I do think the midsole of the endorphin speed loses some pop after only a relatively moderate amount of miles, so maybe that's the difference you're feeling?

Maybe so. I’ve prob got 700ish on n the originals and I still love the way they feel. Prob only 200 or less on the 2s. I’m gonna try the 3s when they find their way to a sale. The og speeds were my favorite running shoe ever.

I ordered the 2s for around $60 as part of the recent holiday sales. They're supposed to get delivered today and hoping they do so before the girlfriend gets back from holiday shopping since I have two pairs of the originals.

Honestly I'm a novice runner, so these were my first pair of dedicated running shoes. When I first put them on they felt a little unstable due to the narrow heel pocket. I have grown used to them and enjoy running in them. I recently bought another pair of 2's for when these go out since they were only $80.

I'm over 100 miles in them and I do feel like they have lost a little spring, but I can't be sure that feeling isn't just in my head.

I am a little nervous to jump into the carbon plate models, so for now I will stay with the Speed 2's. I should be ready for another pair once the 4's come out this summer- hoping to see a little more color options over the 3's.
