I was about to say I don't think I could walk that much less jog it
I'm heavy so I might try it with 5% in each hand to start

The more and more y'all keep talking about this, I am going to have to do this. I wish I had a treadmill at home

Is this what is sounds like? Jogging a mile with a kettlebell ~10% of your body weight in each hand?
walking not jogging
but yes a mile with 10% in each hand walking, fast pace. can slowly up weight as you see fit.
harder than you think and after you get to 10+ without putting them down....yea really hard but its also awesome low impact way to get cardio in, work grip strength, help shoulder health and blow up the traps/upper back.

I'm over 200 and I'm only about a month back into my strength program. I think I'll start with 10 lbs in each hand and see how that goes first. I presume dumbbells would work just as good as the kettle bells or is there something special about the grip?

DB works fine. DO this though, start with 1 ten lb db. so you can switch hands. if you are just getting back in, trust me you will need it.

I just ordered a set of light DBs of 3,5,8 lbs
I'll just start with the 3s and if it's too easy switch to the 5s then 8s...then I'll need some 10 lb ones. I'll just feel it out and work my way up as needed.

I made it the full mile holding 20 lb kb in each hand. Really started burning the shoulders and traps about half way but I stuck it out and the burn kind of came and went.

awesome, not slowly start raising that. and yea the burn comes in the traps and then leaves for a lil while then comes back worse over and over

Arm Farm W2D2 done. Only did half the squat sets. Taking it easy while knees recover.

Man I’m actually really glad most of y’all stuck with ppsa in some form and didn’t come so rebuilt with me, cause it sucks.
I’m gonna finish it but Jesus, it’s nothing but foo foo fluff bullshite for the most part. I can see why people say they feel so good after doing it, they essentially spent 12 weeks doing rehab

Yea my wife has been complaining about her arm soreness. I just laugh at her.

that kettlebell mile has my hands sore and killing me the last two days. can hardly close my right hand and trying to open jars/bottles is almost impossible

I think I am going to try out this kettlebell mile tomorrow after my workout.
The gym is usually not crowded on Fridays

W6D3 of Grasshopper
This was not a day I enjoyed at all. Not a fan of reverse grip anything or dips. Today had 2 reverse grip lifts as well as dips. Pushed through them, but those last few reps were brutal.

W2D3 DB
78 minutes.
First SS of RFESS/RDL almost made the throw up. But in a good way.
Triceps are toast now.

I did the kettlebell mile with invisible kettlebells. Felt great. Ended up doing 4 miles.

W1D3 done. Good lord my legs are sore. Never got this sore from any other program. Haven’t done wall sits in forever and really don’t do RFESS either. Those new movements were brutal
Overall enjoying the change of pace

I find the first week of a program always brings lots of soreness. Although my legs have been feeling it pretty on week 2.
