Looking into purchasing a peloton bike. Anyone here have one? If so, worth the price?

I don't have one but I have used one.

It's not some revolutionary piece of fitness equipment by any means. If you want a stationary bike its probably the best on the market, but like any stationary cardio you will get bored of it eventually.

Have a buddy that just got one, he’s super busy and said it gives him the feeling of going to the gym and seeing people with the online classes or whatever.

It’s just like anything else, if you actually use it it’s totally worth the price. If not it’s a very expensive clothes hanger

There was a long thread about it not too long ago. Try searching for ‘Peloton’

If you have a road bike already it’s probably a lot cheaper to get a trainer for it and use Zwift.

I agree with this. In that long thread that was mentioned we discussed how Pelotón wasn't for everyone and how road bike + zwift wasn't for everyone. For me, it happens to be the bike + indoor trainer route. I like being able to do outdoor rides too. Find what works for you and do your research.

Had one for a few months now. It’s a good piece of equipment but the classes and tracking of your workouts is what makes it better than other options. You can easily motivate yourself by watching your progress on the leaderboard.

To me, it’s worth it. Someone said they would prefer an Assault bike....I want one of those too. Two different types of equipment in my opinion.

My husband got us one back in August. We love it and still use it very frequently. I'm not allowed to exercise besides walking at the moment due to medical reasons but can't wait until I can get back on the bike cause I really miss it. My husband rides 5-6 days a week on it. He also utilizes many of the other non bike classes they have available on the bike and on the peloton app(stretch, strength training, etc). The monthly membership you have to pay for the bike($40) also includes using the digital app on any device and is per bike....so anyone in your household can use it.

My husband uses the bike to help train for mountainbiking. He does mostly Power Zone classes and has seen huge improvements. There are numerous styles of classes to suit everyone from every fitness level.

The amount of classes available is great. Being able to walk down the hall from my bedroom and get on the bike and do a spin class by some of the best spin instructors on my schedule is a huge plus to me.

If you have a Peloton showroom near where you live you can go there and they will let you try the bike out(can even do a full class on it if you want).

I’ve seen some dramatic improvement in my fitness since I got it in November.

I’ve started doing some of the yoga too.

If Peloton comes out with a rower, shut up and take my money.

I got a Peloton about 6 weeks ago because I was just not motivated to run or lift weights. I've been very pleased with it so far, and it has kept me interested in exercising. I have also dropped 7 lbs.

could always go with Hydrow, I think they are shipping this summer. I am thinking of just mounting a 40" in front of my Concept2. Especially when I do some long rows(15k+), put on a movie or something

very pelotonish

Long rows are definitely not conducive to music, I end up listening to podcasts for any row over 20 minutes or so.

All my friends that have it swear by it. They love it. I am not a big spin guy so not sure about it, but as I get older, I won't be able to run like I do and the low impact pedaling will become more appealing.
