What has been the longest “heater” that you have been on?

Of my last 20 rounds 16 have been in the 70’s, low of 72 and 4 in the 80’s with the high being 87.

My handicap has gone from 5.6 to 2.3 and my scoring average is 78.2.

Curious if any of y’all have stayed on a heater for a while and what you attributed it to. Doesn’t have to be in the 70’s either, it could be higher or lower.

Sounds like you have figured something out with your game. A stretch like that really boosts confidence. May not be a heater, may just be the new normal for you.

I had a shitty first 11 holes at Pelican Point yesterday. Was 15 over. I was having an argument via text with someone and it was fricking my round up.

Finally I said enough is enough and turned the phone off and I made par on the next 6 straight--first time I've ever parred 6 in a row--and bogeyed 18 to salvage a 88.

About a year.

My sophomore year of college, my stroke average was around 70.5. I think the worst competitive round I shot that school year was 73. As a comparison, my freshman year was almost 76.

I spent the summer between the two years working at a golf course and hitting balls/playing/working 12-14 hours day. No doubt it made me a much better player.

I've made some big changes to my game this year. I've been an upper 80s, low 90s player for awhile now and recently started hitting low 80s. I play my best golf when I start off well. Been trying to get into the routine of hitting the range before a round. It helps remind myself of the swing patterns I need to focus on during a round. For example, on my drive, I have two or three specific things I focus on. I'll pull my shot if I'm not careful, I'll slice if I'm not careful. But if I get to hit a few drives on the range, I can remind myself of what I need to focus on. I do this with a few iron shots, and wedge shots on the range. It helps figure out what the wind is doing, and if my distances are shorter or longer than normal. I think routine is an important piece of golf.
